The Astoria sweater is made of natural, soft wool and is hand-knit in Sri Lanka by skilled rural women. This sweater draws inspiration from the Astoria Column in Oregon. This monument is a unique work of art, and its spiral structure has inspired the twisted cable rib stitch that has been used in this sweater. In addition, the moss stitch perfectly complements the cable stitch to create this roll-neck, raglan-sleeved sweater, that is cozy, full of warmth, and engenders ‘hygge’ – the state of being content. The sweater also comes with a sash to give you a snug and comfortable fit.
The Astoria sweater is made from 100% organic combed wool. The wool fibres have been sourced from Germany, while the yarn, which is GOTS certified, has been spun and dyed in a mill in Portugal that has been certified by the ISO 9001 Quality Standard since 2000.
The label is also made from 100% organic cotton.
